Learn the facts to avoid putting your sensitive
electronics at risk.
Whole building surge protection handles surges that are only generated outside the building (about 20% of the surges) and does not protect against the 80% of surges generated inside the building. Typical whole house surge suppressors (MOV technology) have a surge let-through of about 700V or more. Most of those manufacturers, therefore, recommend supplemental point of use surge protection for sensitive electronics like computers and home theater equipment. Typical point of use suppressors have a surge let-through of about 400V (still too high for sensitive electronics).
Zero Surge’s series mode filter technology repeatedly protects from even worst case surges of 6,000 Volts/3,000 Amps without degradation or failure. Our products are designed for 120V, single phase applications with an amp load capacity of up to 20A and can be used in place of or in conjunction with whole building suppressors.
Zero Surge’s products are a failure-free alternative to failure prone shunt-mode technology (typical surge protection). We’ve been in business since 1989 with no recalls or reports of surge failure or fire.
